An open Letter to
Honourable Kevin Falcon, Minister of Transportation:

Both east and west walkways on the Queensborough Bridge are now open to pedestrians and cyclists. It feels very safe to walk across the bridge now, thank you.

Since the engineers and other workmen are still working on the bridge, would you please ask them to put a staircase on the west side of the bridge right beneath the trail on Queensborough Landing? At the moment there are no bus routes to the Landing; the staircase will provide a shorter route and cut pedestrian travel time from 22nd Avenue Skytrain Station to the Landing by half. The photograph below shows the Queensborough Bridge as seen from the trail beneath the bridge.

Please consider this request favourably.

Truly yours,
M.A-B

Postscript
Interested persons who use both the trail on the Queensborough Landing and the pedestrian walkway on the bridge and like idea of a staircase on the bridge may provide feedback to authorities working on the bridge at http://www.bip.gov.bc.ca/contacts.htm.
